EXPOSED AUTUMN — MUSHROOM

A small organism with a much larger hidden story.

A mushroom appears above ground as a cap and stem, while the wider fungal network that sustains it remains largely unseen. That relationship between visible form and hidden structure makes it a natural EXPOSED subject.

MUSHROOM is rendered through the visual language of medical imaging, stripping away earthy colour and emphasizing shape, internal density and the unusual architecture of the fruiting body.

Printed on authentic medical imaging film, the piece gains depth and translucency as ambient light changes around it.
