We normally recognise a butterfly through colour, pattern and delicacy. EXPOSED removes almost all of that. What remains is symmetry, structure and the fine architecture of wings.

Presented through the visual language of medical imaging, BUTTERFLY becomes less decorative and more observational — a familiar natural form examined as if it were a specimen.

Produced on authentic medical imaging film, the pale radiographic detail changes in character as ambient light moves through the translucent material.
