An octopus is normally defined by movement — fluid, flexible and almost impossible to hold visually in one position.
EXPOSED does the opposite.
The animal is suspended and reduced to form. Eight limbs become a composition of lines, curves and density, turning something organic into something almost architectural.
On medical imaging film the contrast becomes physical. Dense blacks anchor the image while translucent areas react to the light behind and around the work.
OCTOPUS asks what remains when movement disappears and only form is left.
