The unicorn exists entirely in imagination, yet EXPOSED presents it through the visual language of examination and evidence.
That contradiction is the work: a mythical subject interpreted through a material originally created to reveal physical reality. Ornament and fantasy disappear, leaving form, structure and the suggestion of something that perhaps could have existed.
Produced on authentic medical imaging film, UNICORN shifts between deep density and translucency as the surrounding light changes.
